Raleigh Area Tech Support Engineer

The Steel Network, Inc., a premier national manufacturer of light steel framing solutions, is seeking an honest, ambitious Technical Support Engineer to represent our company based out of our Raleigh-Durham offices.

Success requires the following:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be comfortable giving presentations to professional groups ranging from 10-50 people
• Solid background in the construction industry
• Familiarity with cold-formed steel design and light steel framing
• 3+ years experience with structural analysis software and CAD software

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years experience in structural design and/or technical support

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical support and communicating with East Coast engineers and architects regarding TSN products
• Delivering technical presentations on TSN products to East Coast Developers, General Contractors, Engineers, and Architects
• Supporting product certification by developing testing protocols, writing test reports and managing the certification process
• Performing Value Engineering (preliminary) design
• Supporting the Product Development group with specification, analysis (analytical and numerical) and testing requirements for products under development
• Representing TSN at industry trade shows and engineering association meetings
• Ability to travel
