Develops advanced risk assessment/mitigation software for natural hazards (hurricanes/floods/rock
failure/earthquakes)/man-made hazards (industrial accidents/terrorist events). Leads/manages
development of engineering models/software that integrate: engineering/statistical
models for quantifying hazard intensities/ probabilities; vulnerability models for
residential structures/commercial buildings/ infrastructure/critical equipment;
advanced numerical techniques for structural behavior during collapse under extreme
loads; economic loss models; casualty estimation models. Req. Ph.D Civil Engineering
or Structural Engineering & 3 yrs. exp. in job offered or 3 yrs. exp. in R &
D in Progressive Collapse of Structures.
