PROVEN. QUALITY. INNOVATION.
The Steel Network, Inc. (TSN) is a manufacturer of light gauge (cold-formed) steel studs and connectors based in the United States, with locations in North Carolina, Texas, and Arizona. We provide solutions for all standard light steel framing applications, including load bearing mid-rise construction systems, curtain wall systems, rigid connectors, vertical deflection connectors, lateral drift connectors, and short wall connectors. Substantial effort has been made by the light steel framing industry to standardize construction practices to ensure the positive connections of light steel framing components. Since TSN first brought Vertical Deflection Connectors to the metal framing market, we have performed extensive field and laboratory testing on all our products. More recently TSN instituted an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System to ensure our products are of the highest quality building materials for our light steel framing designers and installers.
The competitive advantage TSN offers its customers lies in the cost savings, rapid construction, high quality, and green construction options provided by its core product lines: BackIt®, BridgeClip®, BuckleBridge®, CircleTrak®, DriftClip®, DriftTrack®, GripClip®, JamStud®, MasterClip®, MidWall™, PrimeJoist®, SigmaStud®, StiffClip®, StiffWall®, ThermaFast®, and VertiClip®. We also assist engineers, architects, and panelizers to streamline cold formed steel design and shop drawing production with our SteelSmart® System (SSS) structural design software, and SteelSmart® Framer (SSF) BIM framing plugin for Autodesk® Revit®.
Why Steel?
Light steel framing, also known as cold-formed steel (CFS), is resilient, adaptable, and durable. It doesn’t decay or age as quickly as other construction materials like wood, significantly reducing the lifecycle costs of a structure. This makes CFS a cost-effective and long-lasting choice for modern construction projects.

Residences at Marriott Oceanfront is a five-story beach front condominium project in Virginia Beach. This project was originally designed to be a wood structure but early on in the construction bidding process, The Steel Network performed a Design Assist for the light steel framing contractor, helping them switch the primary structure from wood to cold-formed steel. This process was instrumental in helping the contractor propose a better solution and win the bid.
