The Element by Weston, is a seven-story 131 room hotel located at 7013 Shallowford Road in Chattanooga, TN.  Roshan Amin, President, and Chief Executive of Dynamic Group, said the $24 million project is a hybrid mix of 40 percent standard studio hotel rooms and 60 percent longer-stay rooms with kitchenettes, and will be the tallest hotel in that area. Lucas Drywall leveraged The Steel Network’s products to reduce construction time per floor from weeks to days by using its TSN’s SigmaStud for the light steel framed (LSF) walls on the Element Hotel. SigmaStud allows installers to use lighter gauge material that is not only easier to install and did not require the lengthy drying time of block and plank construction.

“We were able to reduce construction time per floor from 3 weeks to 3 days.”

The benefit of going with The Steel Network and using the SigmaStud was we’re able to bring the building up faster. Over the course of the seven floor project, we are taking 3 months off the total duration of the job.
