After the success of the SFIA Forum Webinar series, the Steel Framing Industry Association has launched the Steel Framing Learning Portal, an education platform offering cold-formed steel (CFS) framing educational resources 24/7/365. The site launched on Friday January 13, 2023, and was made public on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

“The is an exciting time for the metal framing industry,” says Meredith Perez, SFIA program manager of the Steel Framing Learning Portal. “The industry now has access to great CFS education at their fingertips any day and any time of day.”

The SFIA Steel Framing Learning Portal, which launched in January 2023, is focused on metal framing education.

New Courses to Be Added Monthly

Several courses are available on the SFIA Steel Framing Learning Portal, and new content will be added every month. On-demand content currently available on the Learning Portal include:

  • SFIA 108: Panelization for Cold-Formed Steel Wall Systems (AIA approved)
  • The State of Steel Framing – A Business Development Course
  • Moisture Control for Durable and Energy Efficient Cold-Formed Steel Walls

In time, the SFIA Steel Framing Learning Portal will also host the SFIA’s live webinars in addition to its on-demand content. The dates for live webinars will be posted soon on the Learning Portal and through BuildSteel media platforms.

Perez says Steel Framing Learning Portal courses that carry the AIA-CES designation will enable participants to receive Health, Safety and Wellbeing Learning Unit credits. Participants will also receive certificates of completion and additional resources when they complete a course.
